New simple, fast, effective and environmentally friendly one-pot method for the synthesis of extensively used tetrakis(acetonitrile)copper(i) complexes with BF 4 - , PF 6 - and ClO 4 - counterions is invented and optimized. The approach suggested allows using water as solvent and minimizes amounts of toxic organic reagents in the synthetic protocol.
