Cultivating clinical-academic partnerships and engaging nurses in evidence-based practice and research is increasingly important (Whalen et al., 2020;Albert et al., 2019; Storey et al., 2019). For decades, nurses have demonstrated creative methods in engaging in continuing education programs and increase research capacity within interdisciplinary teams from clinical to academic settings. Nursing grand rounds can be used as a method of continuing education for nurses and has proven to enhance interprofessional education and communication within health care teams, ultimately leading to positive outcomes for patients (Ryan et al., 2019).
