Evaluating deep endometriosis in collapsible organs such as the vagina and rectum is difficult. Bowel preparation and an absence of vaginal opacification were found to be diagnostically beneficial. Bowel preparation should be prioritized over rectal or vaginal opacification in MRI protocols.
