TROP-2 was expressed at high levels in gastrointestinal tumors, which was associated with both tumor development and pathological aggressiveness. Therefore, TROP-2 could be used as a biomarker to determine clinical prognosis and as a potential therapeutic target in malignancies of the gastrointestinal tract, but further studies need to validate it.
