Lipid microsphere-coated PGE1 improves peritoneal transport and reduces inflammation in peritoneal dialysis: A randomized clinical pilot trial.

Lipid microspheres coated with prostaglandin E1 may increase the peritoneal clearance of moderately sized molecules and macromolecules with insignificant effect on the clearance of small molecules. The reduction in IL-6 level following treatment with lipo-PGE1 may alleviate inflammation.
