Associations between Developmental Assets and Adolescent Health Status: Findings from the 2016 National Survey of Children's Health.

The presence of depression, among adolescents with and without chronic physical illness, was associated with fewer internal and external assets. The absence of assets may serve as a unique indicator of underlying depressive symptoms among adolescents in the school setting.
