This study in piglets has shown that at unrestricted doses, MLE treatment is associated with low serum and also tissue AA compared to SLE and to healthy litter matched controls. While not yet proven, low tissue AA levels may have functional consequences and this data supports current practice avoiding MLE dose restriction. This article is protected by copyright.
