Our results showed that the greatest antioxidant activity and phenolic content occurred in wheat plants inoculated with AMF, indicating their influence on coping with water stress, which is of importance in vast areas where global climate change is resulting in diminished rainfall. © 2021 Society of Chemical Industry.
