TXA was not associated with increased complications in current or former cancer patients undergoing arthroplasty. Future randomized studies of TXA in arthroplasty should include cancer patients; in the interim, clinicians should weigh the theoretical risks of TXA with the known benefits of reduced blood loss in oncology patients.
