The decrease in the percentage of difficult to triage pages suggests that a standard paging protocol can improve delivery of patient care by minimizing interruptions with low-priority pages and may improve quality of communication between nursing staff and physicians on-call, ultimately improving quality of care provided and bettering the resident learning environment.
