A specimen of tripletail Lobotes surinamensis (402 mm total length, 1262 g total mass) was caught in the shallow waters of the inner Bristol Channel on 2 September 2019, with this only the second known capture of this species from the British Isles. Given the cosmopolitan distribution of this species, the potential origin of this specimen is uncertain. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved.
