Sarcopenia is associated with mild-to-moderate chronic kidney disease in Chinese community-dwelling older men but not in women.

Sarcopenia was closely associated with mild-to-moderate CKD in older men, and slow gait speed was related to mild-to-moderate CKD in men and women. These findings may help guide better diagnosis and management of CKD in the context of slow gait speed, and facilitate earlier CKD detection and appropriate intervention in older adults.
