Sleep-disordered Breathing and Inpatient Outcomes in Non-surgical Patients: Analysis of the Nationwide Inpatient Cohort.

OHS is associated with higher LOS, mortality, and costs during hospitalization, while OSA despite higher LOS and costs is associated with decreased mortality. Investigation is warranted on whether paradoxically higher costs but lower mortality in OSA may be indicative of less vigilance in hospitalized patients with undiagnosed SDB.
