Repeated point prevalence survey on antimicrobial use in a university hospital: what have we learned?

Our study revealed antibiotic prescription frequency similar to EU/EEA average and high percentage of unjustified antimicrobial treatment introduction. The rate of adherence to the Guidelines was lower than those observed in western countries. The results lay a basis for tailoring antimicrobial stewardship programs/activities.
