Envy is identified as inevitable in human endeavors with potentially deleterious effects on the teaching-learning of nursing. Insights are gained into the human experience of envy through shared stories from literature and nurse faculty. Further insights are gained through the lens of the humanbecoming perspective to offer recommendations for faculty and leaders in the teaching-learning of nursing.
