The validity of a therapeutic invigoration task in avolitional schizophrenia outpatients.

Results suggest that the invigoration task did what it was supposed do, and did so consistently, in patients with avolitional residual schizophrenia. These results warrant a subsequent randomized controlled trial to establish the efficacy of the invigoration task.
