Results suggest a bidirectional, cyclical relationship between alcohol consumption and internalizing psychopathology broadly, rather than PTSD specifically, during the pandemic. Interventions for alcohol consumption on college campuses may benefit from targeting internalizing symptoms, such as through facilitating the development of adaptive coping strategies.
