The extended home visiting programme had a positive impact on the MMR vaccination rate. Children receiving the recommended six home visits had lower use of inpatient care. In addition to being positively perceived by parents in an area with greater healthcare needs, the programme may have a positive impact on their children's healthcare utilisation.
