Glycation-induced age-related illnesses, antiglycation and drug delivery strategies.

This review focuses on the key mechanisms attributed to cumulative increases of glycation and pathological RAGE expression as a significant cause of multiple age-related diseases, and reporting on different aspects of antiglycation therapy as a novel approach to managing/treating age-related diseases. Additionally, historical, current and possible future antiglycation approaches will be presented focussing on novel drug delivery methods.
