The risk of re-rupture in ruptured AVMs is high. Adult patients, ventricular system involvement, and any deep venous drainage are independent risk factors for re-rupture. Applying the results universally to all ruptured AVM cases may be biased. Intervention could effectively reduce the risk of re-rupture.
