Acupuncture was a potent pain-relief alternative for hospitalized patients, providing more satisfaction. Acupuncture resulted in longer LOS, but the aggregate COS was 86% less than expected. Acupuncture may be a financially viable, clinically impactful adjunct to hospital care.
