Hot off the Press: Sleep and Fatigue Risk in Emergency Medicine Physicians.
Justin MorgensternCorey HeitzWilliam K MilnePublished in: Academic emergency medicine : official journal of the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (2023)
Although fatigue is an accepted reality of emergency medicine, there is relatively little objective data describing the problem. We discuss a prospective observational trial, published in Academic Emergency Medicine, March 2023, which used actigraphy to track sleep quality and fatigue scores for a convenience sample of 17 emergency physicians over a 2 month period. We provide critical analysis of the article and summarize social media discussion about the article.
