In conclusion, our findings represent a neurobiological mechanistic pathway through which heightened sympathetic arousal related to anxiety could foster increased "cross-talk" between distributed cortical networks that ultimately manifest as paroxysmal episodes of freezing of gait. © 2022 The Authors.
