Our results reveal that hLDHC can rescue the absence of mLDHC. Differences in the effect of the LDH inhibitor between WT and hLDHC KI mice indicate that hLDHC KI mice can be a good model to assess hLDHC inhibitors for preclinical contraceptive studies.
